---|---|
Product Format | Liquid. PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. |
Clonality | Polyclonal |
Isotype | Ig |
Host | Rabbit |
Application | IF, WB, IHC-P |
:: | Function: Mediates transcriptional repression by certain nuclear receptors. Part of a complex which promotes histone deacetylation and the formation of repressive chromatin structures which may impede the access of basal transcription factors. Cellular Location: Nucleus. |
Reconstitution and Storage | Maintain refrigerated at 2-8C for up to 2 weeks. For long term storage store at -20C in small aliquots to prevent freeze-thaw cycles. |
Immunogen | This NCOR1 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 16-47 amino acids from the N-terminal region of human NCOR1. |
Purification | This antibody is prepared by Saturated Ammonium Sulfate (SAS) precipitation followed by dialysis against PBS. |
Predicted Homology Based on Immunogen Sequence | Human; Mouse |
Concentration | 2 mg/ml |
Intended Use | NCOR1 Antibody (N-term) is for research use only and not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures. |
Application Info | WB: 1:1000 IHC-P: 1:50~100 IF: 1:10~50 |
Gene Symbol | NCOR1 |
---|---|
Alias Symbols | N-CoR, TRAC1, N-CoR1, hN-CoR, PPP1R109 |
NCBI Gene Id | 9611 |
Protein Name | Nuclear receptor corepressor 1 |
Description of Target | NCOR1 mediates ligand-independent transcription repression of thyroid-hormone and retinoic-acid receptors by promoting chromatin condensation and preventing access of the transcription machinery. It is part of a complex which also includes histone deacetylases and transcriptional regulators similar to the yeast protein Sin3p. The gene is located between the Charcot-Marie-Tooth and Smith-Magenis syndrome critical regions on chromosome 17. An alternatively spliced transcript variant has been described, but its full length sequence has not been determined. |
