HostRabbit
ApplicationWB, IHC-P
::Function: Integrin alpha-1/beta-1 is a receptor for laminin and collagen. It recognizes the proline-hydroxylated sequence G-F-P-G- E-R in collagen. Involved in anchorage-dependent, negative regulation of EGF-stimulated cell growth.
Cellular Location: Membrane; Single-pass type I membrane protein.
Reconstitution and StorageMaintain refrigerated at 2-8C for up to 2 weeks. For long term storage store at -20C in small aliquots to prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
ImmunogenThis ITGA1 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 727-755 amino acids from the Central region of human ITGA1.
PurificationThis antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.
Predicted Homology Based on Immunogen SequenceHuman; Mouse
ConcentrationApproximately 0.5mg/ml. Actual concentration varies with each lot.
Intended UseFor research use only and not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.
Application InfoWB: 1:1000
IHC-P: 1:10~50
Gene SymbolITGA1
Alias SymbolsVLA1, CD49a
NCBI Gene Id3672
Protein NameIntegrin alpha-1
Description of TargetITGA1 is the alpha 1 subunit of integrin receptors. This protein heterodimerizes with the beta 1 subunit to form a cell-surface receptor for collagen and laminin. The heterodimeric receptor is involved in cell-cell adhesion and may play a role in inflammation and fibrosis. The alpha 1 subunit contains an inserted (I) von Willebrand factor type I domain which is thought to be involved in collagen binding.
