Datasheets/Manuals | Printable datasheet for anti-ITGA1 antibody - OAAB05410 |
---|
Predicted Species Reactivity | Human, Mouse |
---|---|
Product Format | Liquid. PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. |
Clonality | Polyclonal |
Isotype | Rabbit Ig |
Host | Rabbit |
Application | WB, IHC-P |
:: | Function: Integrin alpha-1/beta-1 is a receptor for laminin and collagen. It recognizes the proline-hydroxylated sequence G-F-P-G- E-R in collagen. Involved in anchorage-dependent, negative regulation of EGF-stimulated cell growth. Cellular Location: Membrane; Single-pass type I membrane protein. |
Reconstitution and Storage | Maintain refrigerated at 2-8C for up to 2 weeks. For long term storage store at -20C in small aliquots to prevent freeze-thaw cycles. |
Immunogen | This ITGA1 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 727-755 amino acids from the Central region of human ITGA1. |
Purification | This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification. |
Predicted Homology Based on Immunogen Sequence | Human; Mouse |
Concentration | Approximately 0.5mg/ml. Actual concentration varies with each lot. |
Intended Use | For research use only and not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures. |
Application Info | WB: 1:1000 IHC-P: 1:10~50 |
Gene Symbol | ITGA1 |
---|---|
Alias Symbols | VLA1, CD49a |
NCBI Gene Id | 3672 |
Protein Name | Integrin alpha-1 |
Description of Target | ITGA1 is the alpha 1 subunit of integrin receptors. This protein heterodimerizes with the beta 1 subunit to form a cell-surface receptor for collagen and laminin. The heterodimeric receptor is involved in cell-cell adhesion and may play a role in inflammation and fibrosis. The alpha 1 subunit contains an inserted (I) von Willebrand factor type I domain which is thought to be involved in collagen binding. |
Uniprot ID | P56199 |
Protein Accession # | NP_852478.1 |
Molecular Weight | 130848 Da |
