ELISA Kit Principle | Aviva Systems Biology GA ELISA Kit (Human) (OKEH04628) is based on standard sandwich enzyme-linked immuno-sorbent assay technology. An antibody specific for GA has been pre-coated onto a 96-wellplate (12 x 8 Well Strips) and blocked. Standards or test samples are added to the wells and incubated. After washing, a biotinylated detector antibody specific for GA is added, incubated and followed by washing. Avidin-Peroxidase Conjugate is then added, incubated and unbound conjugate is washed away. An enzymatic reaction is produced through the addition of TMB substrate which is catalyzed by HRP to generating a blue color product that changes yellow after adding acidic stop solution. The density of yellow coloration read by absorbance at 450 nm is quantitatively proportional to the amount of sample GA captured in well. | ||||||||||||||||||||||

Gene Full Name | Aspartylglucosaminidase |
Alias Symbols | GA, AGU, ASRG |
NCBI Gene Id | 175 |
Protein Name | N(4)-(beta-N-acetylglucosaminyl)-L-asparaginase isoform 1 preproprotein |
Description of Target | This gene encodes a member of the N-terminal nucleophile (Ntn) hydrolase family of proteins. The encoded preproprotein is proteolytically processed to generate alpha and beta chains that comprise the mature enzyme. This enzyme is involved in the catabolism of N-linked oligosaccharides of glycoproteins. It cleaves asparagine from N-acetylglucosamines as one of the final steps in the lysosomal breakdown of glycoproteins. Mutations in this gene are associated with the lysosomal storage disease aspartylglycosaminuria that results in progressive neurodegeneration. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants, at least one of which encodes an isoform that is subject to proteolytic processing.. |
