ELISA Kit Principle | Aviva Systems Biology ENO2 ELISA Kit (Human) (OKCA00125) is based on standard sandwich enzyme-linked immuno-sorbent assay technology. An antibody specific for human ENO2 has been pre-coated onto a 96-well plate (12 x 8 Well Strips). Standards or test samples are added to the wells, incubated and removed. A biotinylated detector antibody specific for human ENO2 is added, incubated and then followed by washing. Avidin-Biotin-Peroxidase Complex is then added, incubated and unbound conjugate is washed away. An enzymatic reaction is produced through the addition of TMB substrate which is catalyzed by HRP producing a blue color product that changes to yellow after adding acidic stop solution. The density of yellow coloration read by absorbance at 450 nm and is quantitatively proportional to the amount of sample human ENO2 captured in well. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||

Specificity | This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of human NSE. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between human NSE and analogues was observed. Note: Limited by current skills and knowledge, it is impossible for us to complete the cross-reactivity detection between human NSE and all the analogues, therefore, cross reaction may still exist. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||

Gene Symbol | ENO2 |
---|---|
Gene Full Name | Enolase 2 (gamma, neuronal) |
Alias Symbols | NSE, HEL-S-279 |
NCBI Gene Id | 2026 |
Protein Name | Gamma-enolase |
Description of Target | This gene encodes one of the three enolase isoenzymes found in mammals. This isoenzyme, a homodimer, is found in mature neurons and cells of neuronal origin. A switch from alpha enolase to gamma enolase occurs in neural tissue during development in rats and primates. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008] |
