Identify 20,000 promoter DNA/Transcription Factor interactions in one experiment! Traditional ChIP assays allow the study of one known gene at a time. In ChIP-DSL (Chromatin Immunoprecipitation - Guided Ligation And Selection), transcription factor/promoter interactions are studies on a global level using micorarrys. In ChIP-DSL, the ChIP sample is selected, amplified and labeled, and then hybridized to a microarray containing 20,000 unique regions of human promoters. Please see the figure to the right for a summary of the ChIP-DSL procedure.

Products and Ordering Information: The ChIP-DSL system consists of ChIP-DSL assay kits and microarray chips, which are sold separately. For first time users we recommend purchasing a complete ChIP-DSL Kit (Cat. No. AK-0501, 0507, or 0508), which contains all reagents necessary for 10 reactions, except Taq ligase and Taq polymerase, as well as the corresponding DSL-chips (promoter microarrays) (Cat. No. AC-0020, 0004, or 0008), which contain two slides each.
Three types of chips (microarrays) are offered: H20K, H4K, and M8K. H20K contains ~20,000 human promoters, H4K contains ~4,000 human promoters, and M8K contains ~8000 mouse promoters. The complete assay kits include three sub-kits: ChIP kit, DSL kit and Hybridization kit. The DSL kit is an essential component that provides the oligo pool necessary to use the promoter microarrays, and ChIP and Hybridization kits are optimized for ChIP-DSL technology. All kits provide sufficient reagent for at least 10 reactions and have been carefully tested. As an alternative to the complete ChIP-DSL Kits, the three sub-kits are also available individually to allow maximum user flexibility.
