  Description:
Glutamic-oxaloacetic transaminase is a pyridoxal phosphate-dependent enzyme which exists in cytoplasmic and mitochondrial forms, GOT1 and GOT2, respectively. GOT plays a role in amino acid metabolism and the urea and tricarboxylic acid cycles. The two enzymes are homodimeric and show close homology.Glutamic-oxaloacetic transaminase is a pyridoxal phosphate-dependent enzyme which exists in cytoplasmic and mitochondrial forms, GOT1 and GOT2, respectively. Antigen Specificity:
Polyclonal antibody produced in rabbits immunized with a synthetic peptide corresponding to a region of Human GOT1 with an internal ID of Y01517
Reconstitution and Storage:
Antibody is lyophilized from PBS buffer with 2% sucrose. Add 100 μl of distilled water. Final antibody concentration is 1 mg/ml. For longer periods of storage, store at -20°C. Avoid repeat freeze-thaw cycles.
Key Reference:

Quality Control:
Rabbit IgG purified by protein A chromatography.
Suggested starting concentrations are provided. Optimal dilutions should be determined by end-user. Differences in calculated versus apparent molecular weight may be due to post-translational modifications or protein hydrophobicity. For research use only not for diagnostic, human, or veterinary use.
Western Blot
Suggested dilution at 5.0µg/ml in 5% skim milk / PBS buffer, and HRP conjugated anti-Rabbit IgG should be diluted in 1: 50,000 - 100,000 as second antibody.
