  Description:
DLX5 is a member of a homeobox transcription factor gene family similiar to the Drosophila distal-less gene. This protein may play a role in bone development and fracture healing. Mutation in its gene, which is located in a tail-to-tail configuration with another member of the family on the long arm of chromosome 7, may be associated with split-hand/split-foot malformation. This gene encodes a member of a homeobox transcription factor gene family similiar to the Drosophila distal-less gene. Antigen Specificity:
Polyclonal antibody produced in rabbits immunized with a synthetic peptide corresponding to a region of Human DLX5 with an internal ID of P20775
Reconstitution and Storage:
Antibody is lyophilized from PBS buffer with 2% sucrose. Add 100 μl of distilled water. Final antibody concentration is 1 mg/ml. For longer periods of storage, store at -20°C. Avoid repeat freeze-thaw cycles.
Key Reference:
van (2006) Calcif. Tissue Int. 78 (2), 98-102
Quality Control:
Rabbit IgG purified by protein A chromatography.
Suggested starting concentrations are provided. Optimal dilutions should be determined by end-user. Differences in calculated versus apparent molecular weight may be due to post-translational modifications or protein hydrophobicity. For research use only not for diagnostic, human, or veterinary use.
Western Blot
Suggested dilution at 1.25µg/ml in 5% skim milk / PBS buffer, and HRP conjugated anti-Rabbit IgG should be diluted in 1: 50,000 - 100,000 as second antibody.
