  Description:
ABP1 is a membrane glycoprotein that is expressed in many epithelium-rich and/or hematopoietic tissues and oxidatively deaminates putrescine and histamine. The protein may play a role in controlling the level of histamine and/or putrescine in these tissues. It also binds to and is inhibited by amiloride, a diuretic that acts by closing epithelial sodium ion channels. This gene encodes a membrane glycoprotein that is expressed in many epithelium-rich and/or hematopoietic tissues and oxidatively deaminates putrescine and histamine. Antigen Specificity:
Polyclonal antibody produced in rabbits immunized with a synthetic peptide corresponding to a region of Human ABP1 with an internal ID of P12525
Reconstitution and Storage:
Antibody is lyophilized from PBS buffer with 2% sucrose. Add 50 μl of distilled water. Final antibody concentration is 1 mg/ml. For longer periods of storage, store at -20°C. Avoid repeat freeze-thaw cycles.

Quality Control:
Rabbit Ig G is purified by peptide affinity chromatography method.
Suggested starting concentrations are provided. Optimal dilutions should be determined by end-user. Differences in calculated versus apparent molecular weight may be due to post-translational modifications or protein hydrophobicity. For research use only not for diagnostic, human, or veterinary use.
Western Blot
Suggested dilution at 1.0µg/ml in 5% skim milk / PBS buffer, and HRP conjugated anti-Rabbit IgG should be diluted in 1: 50,000 - 100,000 as second antibody.
