LEFTY2 is a member of the TGF-beta family of proteins. The protein is secreted and plays a role in left-right asymmetry determination of organ systems during development. The protein may also play a role in endometrial bleeding. Mutations in its gene have been associated with left-right axis malformations, particularly in the heart and lungs. Some types of infertility have been associated with dysregulated expression of its gene in the endometrium.This gene encodes a member of the TGF-beta family of proteins. Antigen Specificity:  Polyclonal antibody produced in rabbits immunized with a synthetic peptide corresponding to a region of Human LEFTY2 with an internal ID of P24586  Reconstitution and Storage:  Antibody is lyophilized from PBS buffer with 2% sucrose. Add 50 μl of distilled water. Final antibody concentration is 1 mg/ml. For longer periods of storage, store at -20°C. Avoid repeat freeze-thaw cycles.  Key Reference:  Cornet,P.B., (2005) J. Clin.
