Amyloid-. protein is thought to play a causal role in the development of Alzheimer's disease. Amyloid-. protein is variably cleaved at the C-terminus to form peptides 39-43 amino acids in length. Antibody recognizes only 1-40 and not the amyloid-. precursor protein.

Antigen Specificity:  Polyclonal antibody produced in rabbits immunized with a synthetic peptide corresponding to a region of Human APP with an internal ID of P03595  Reconstitution and Storage:  Antibody is lyophilized from PBS buffer with 2% sucrose. Add 100 µl of distilled water. Final antibody concentration is 1 mg/ml. For longer periods of storage, store at -20°C. Avoid repeat freeze-thaw cycles.  Key Reference:  Selko, D.J., et al. (1990) Scince 248:1058.  Quality Control:  Rabbit Ig G is purified by Protein G/A affinity chromatography method.  Suggested starting concentrations are provided.
