  Description:
Chloride channels are a diverse group of proteins that regulate fundamental cellular processes including stabilization of cell membrane potential, transepithelial transport, maintenance of intracellular pH, and regulation of cell volume. Chloride intracellular channel 1 (CLIC1) is a member of the p64 family; the protein localizes principally to the cell nucleus and exhibits both nuclear and plasma membrane chloride ion channel activity.

Antigen Specificity:
Polyclonal antibody produced in rabbits immunized with a synthetic peptide corresponding to a region of Human CLIC1 with an internal ID of P06271
Reconstitution and Storage:
Antibody is lyophilized from PBS buffer with 2% sucrose. Add 50 µl of distilled water. Final antibody concentration is 1 mg/ml. For longer periods of storage, store at -20°C. Avoid repeat freeze-thaw cycles.

Quality Control:
Rabbit Ig G is purified by peptide affinity chromatography method.
Suggested starting concentrations are provided. Optimal dilutions should be determined by end-user. Differences in calculated versus apparent molecular weight may be due to post-translational modifications or protein hydrophobicity. For research use only not for diagnostic, human, or veterinary use.
Western Blot
Suggested dilution at 0.5µg/ml in 5% skim milk / PBS buffer, and HRP conjugated anti-Rabbit IgG should be diluted in 1: 50,000 - 100,000 as second antibody.
