  Description:
HOXB9 belongs to the homeobox family of genes. The homeobox genes encode a highly conserved family of transcription factors that play an important role in morphogenesis in all multicellular organisms. Mammals possess four similar homeobox gene clusters, HOXA, HOXB, HOXC and HOXD, located on different chromosomes, consisting of 9 to 11 genes arranged in tandem. HOXB9 is one of several homeobox HOXB genes located in a cluster on chromosome 17. The exact role of this gene has yet to be determined.

Antigen Specificity:
Polyclonal antibody produced in rabbits immunized with a synthetic peptide corresponding to a region of human HOXB9 with an internal ID of P03649
Reconstitution and Storage:
Antibody is lyophilized from PBS buffer with 2% sucrose. Add 50 μl of distilled water. Final antibody concentration is 1 mg/ml. For longer periods of storage, store at -20°C. Avoid repeat freeze-thaw cycles.

Quality Control:
Rabbit IgG is purified by peptide affinity chromatography method.
Suggested starting concentrations are provided. Optimal dilutions should be determined by end-user. Differences in calculated versus apparent molecular weight may be due to post-translational modifications or protein hydrophobicity. For research use only not for diagnostic, human, or veterinary use.
Western Blot
Suggested dilution at 1.0-2.0 ug/ml in 5% skim milk / PBS buffer, and HRP conjugated anti-Rabbit IgG should be diluted in 1: 50,000 - 100,000 as second antibody.
