Description:
IL-17 is a proinflammatory cytokine produced by activated T cells. This cytokine regulates the activities of NF-κB and mitogen-activated protein kinases. It can stimulate the expression of IL6 and cyclooxygenase-2 (PTGS2/COX-2), as well as enhance the production of nitric oxide (NO). High levels of this cytokine are associated with several chronic inflammatory diseases including rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis and multiple sclerosis.
Clone Number:
1H6
Species Reactivity:
(Primary - WB; Secondary - Computational Homology)
Human
Antigen Specificity:
Mouse monoclonal antibody (1H6) was raised against a recombinant IL-17 protein
Reconstitution and Storage:
Antibody is lyophilized in PBS buffer with 2% sucrose. Add 100 µl of distilled water. Final antibody concentration is 2 mg/ml. For longer periods of storage, store at -20°C. Avoid repeat freeze-thaw cycles.

Quality Control:
Mouse IgG is purified by Protein G affinity chromatography method.
Suggested starting concentrations are provided. Optimal dilutions should be determined by end-user. Differences in calculated versus apparent molecular weight may be due to post-translational modifications or protein hydrophobicity. For research use only not for diagnostic, human, or veterinary use.
