ELISA Kit Principle | Aviva Systems Biology AXL ELISA Kit (Human) (OKCA00131) is based on standard sandwich enzyme-linked immuno-sorbent assay technology. An antibody specific for human AXL has been pre-coated onto a 96-well plate (12 x 8 Well Strips). Standards or test samples are added to the wells, incubated and removed. A biotinylated detector antibody specific for human AXL is added, incubated and then followed by washing. Avidin-Biotin-Peroxidase Complex is then added, incubated and unbound conjugate is washed away. An enzymatic reaction is produced through the addition of TMB substrate which is catalyzed by HRP producing a blue color product that changes to yellow after adding acidic stop solution. The density of yellow coloration read by absorbance at 450 nm and is quantitatively proportional to the amount of sample human AXL captured in well. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||

Gene Full Name | AXL receptor tyrosine kinase |
Alias Symbols | ARK, UFO, JTK11, Tyro7 |
NCBI Gene Id | 558 |
Protein Name | Tyrosine-protein kinase receptor UFO |
Description of Target | The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the Tyro3-Axl-Mer (TAM) receptor tyrosine kinase subfamily. The encoded protein possesses an extracellular domain which is composed of two immunoglobulin-like motifs at the N-terminal, followed by two fibronectin type-III motifs. It transduces signals from the extracellular matrix into the cytoplasm by binding to the vitamin K-dependent protein growth arrest-specific 6 (Gas6). This gene may be involved in several cellular functions including growth, migration, aggregation and anti-inflammation in multiple cell types. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants of this gene. |
