1. Business Development Manager

Aviva Systems Biology Corporation is dedicated to develop thousands of new proteomic discoveries. The company is now seeking to expand our business development efforts to drive the growth of a unique product offering.  To accomplish these goals, we seek a driven candidate for a newly created position reporting to the Vice President of Marketing and Sales.  The person shall have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a field relevant to the position, at least 2 years of experience, and possess exceptional written, verbal and interpersonal skills.

This person will implement tactics to build strong relationships with other life science organizations. This person will also directly communicate with customers involved to better understand priorities, determine new business goals, develop a plan, and implement the plan according to schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

  -  Able to understand technical requirements of customers and assist with communication when necessary.
  -  Able to maintain a large funnel of business contacts to continuously progress companies priorities.
  -  Use your drive and flexibility to perform a broad range of business development functions.
  -  Highly-driven and organized.
  -  Self-motivated and able to brainstorm and assess multiple solutions.
  -  Manage new contracts and negotiations with other life science companies.
  -  Regularly deliver key presentations and come to an agreement and implementation plans quickly.
  -  Establish and nurture working relationships with researchers to drive product data submitted from the website.
  -  Analyze and report on sales data, sales trends, customer surveys, and business plans regularly.
  -  Pursue new product and business offerings to maximize revenue growth.

Minimum Qualifications:

  -  Bachelor’s Degree in life science discipline.
  -  Minimum of 2 years product marketing experience.
  -  Track record of successfully growing other business ventures.
  -  Possess exceptional written, verbal and interpersonal skills.

Aviva Systems Biology (www.avivasysbio.com) is a leading antibody company with production facilities in Beijing and a headquarter office in San Diego focused on sales, marketing, distribution and management.  The company was formed in 2001 based on a strategy of high throughput production and currently has a collection 40,000 commercially available antibodies with 200 additional products added monthly.  The product collection specializes in family oriented antibodies (Transcription Factor, Ion Channel, RNA Binding) providing a unique content not commercially available from our competitors.

This full time position provides health, dental, vision and 401K benefits. Base salary will be discussed at the time of interview.

 

2. Product Marketing Manager

Aviva Systems Biology Corporation is dedicated to develop thousands of new proteomic discoveries. The company is now seeking to expand our product marketing efforts, increase our brand name, and drive company visibility with multiple ongoing commercialization strategies.  To accomplish these goals, we seek a driven candidate for a newly created position reporting to the Vice President of Marketing and Sales.  The person shall have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a field relevant to the position, at least 2 years of experience, and possess exceptional written, verbal and interpersonal skills.

Alongside Aviva’s Marketing Team, this person with implement effective campaigns aimed to drive sales with the hundreds of unique solution-based products. By using sophisticated marketing tactics and communication, this Product Marketing Manager will track successful campaigns, optimize priorities, and aggressively address customer demand.

Key Responsibilities:

  -  Use your drive and flexibility to perform a broad range of product marketing functions.
  -  Highly-driven and organized at developing and implementing innovative marketing plans to meet sales objectives.
  -  Self-motivated to implement marketing tactics, including advertising, promotion, pricing, collateral materials, professional meetings/trade shows, market research, and sales. Experience with email marketing a plus.
  -  In-house marketing contact to provide technical information and support for international distributors and large partners on products and competition.
  -  Establish and nurture working relationships with research leaders to provide voice of customer and drive direction for product development activities.
  -  Analyze and report on sales data, sales trends, and customer surveys for assigned product lines and all competitive products within the category; providing regular updates.
  -  Responsible for traditional marketing deliverables such as business plans, pricing, product positioning, promotional strategies, life cycle plans and advising on product improvements and new product needs.
  -  Pursue product line extensions, revisions, studies and any other activities which would ultimately build the value of the product line and maximize product line earnings.
  -  Develop rationale and make recommendations to management on product development needs/activities pricing, manufacturing, packaging, distribution, promotion, market research, and any issue which impacts product responsibility.
  -  Able to convert product/customer feedback into valuable insights that can help drive the development of new marketing programs.

Minimum Qualifications:
